It’s a new local planning document designed to allow Wendens Ambo people to play an active part in planning the future of our Village.
It can guide the development and conservation of the village and can identify proposals for:
Neighbourhood Plans form part of the statutory development plan for the area, meaning Uttlesford District Council and Planning Inspectors will have to take note of what it says when considering development proposals.
The production of our Neighbourhood Plan will rely on community involvement throughout its preparation and must be approved in a parish referendum before it can be agreed, published and used.
Our Neighbourhood Plan will contain planning policies for matters that require planning permission, However, these must not conflict with the policies in Uttlesford District Council Local Plan or National Planning Policies. Our policies will need to be backed up by evidence that supports what we’re seeking to achieve.
The Parish Council have set up a steering group made up mainly of Volunteers. The Steering group was set up in July 2024 and following a successful Government grant application have commissioned surveys and specialist work to guide the content of the Plan.
